I’m a big Willie Weeks fan, but I’m having a heck of a time finding albums he has played on. I have Donny Hathaway’s Live, as well as John Scofield’s Ray Charles tribute, That’s What I Say, but I’m trying to track down more. Could you point me to some essential listening?

Though North Carolina-based Weeks remains closest to the Nashville scene he joined in the early ’90s, he is in demand all over the map as always, from studios in New York and L.A. to global road tours, most recently with Eric Clapton’s band (with Steve Jordan on drums). The list below shows notable and recent sides and songs that feature Mr. Weeks’s indomitable groove.
