Greg Howe

Insane unisons, heavy prog-rock jams, and tight odd-time grooves are all amply provided on guitarist Howe’s latest aural concoction. Through satisfyingly structured compositions rather than endless fusion jams, Howe leaves ample room for all his band to strut their stuff, including the absurdly adept bassist Jon Reshard. His solos on album-opener “Emergency Exit” and the title track “Sound Proof” are but a few of the occasions forcing the deconstructionist in us to stop and ask, How is he doing that!?
