Review: Filter "The Sun Comes Out Tonight"
Mon, 26 Aug 2013

As Filter journeys into the realm of heavy industrial, its latest album flaunts a darker, post-grunge version of the sound that has been attracting fans since 1995’s “Hey Man Nice Shot.” Phil Buckman, taking advantage of the group’s experimentation with dropped tunings, creates a formidable wall of sound; while there’s no shortage of low end on the softer songs, Buckman shows his melodic skills on “Surprise” and “It’s Just You.”
