T.C. Electronic Vintage Bass DistortionDecember, 2006 From an aesthetic perspective, there’s something starkly alluring about the Vintage Bass Distortion. Perhaps it’s its remarkable similarity to the T. Rex Bass Juice; it’s the same pedal, dressed up for a night on the town. That’s not a bad thing, because like the T. Rex, the Vintage Bass Distortion is a solid, straightforward fuzz tone with a useful boost function for pushing the clipping section into freak-out mode. Also, like the T.
