Type O Negative Leads Peavey-Sponsored Jäger TourApril, 2008 Metal legends and longtime Peavey endorsers Type O Negative will co-headline the spring 2008 Jägermeister Music Tour with Hatebreed beginning May 16. At each show, one lucky fan will win a Peavey Rage® guitar amplifier customized by Peaveywith a special Jägermeister artwork design. “Headlining this tour has been a long-time goal of ours,” said Type O Negative frontman and bassist Peter Steele, who will crank his Peavey Tour™ Series bass amplifiers on the two-month trek. “It’s an even greater accomplishment to have a co-headlining band like Hatebreed along for the ride with us.” Type O Negative is touring behind its latest release, Dead Again, its seventh album of dark, brooding goth metal. Peavey endorsers Slipknot, Chimaira, Arch Enemy and Stone Sour have appeared on past tours, and Peavey has sponsored the semi-annual Jägermeister Music Tour since its spring 2003 outing. Peavey is also a major sponsor of the traveling Jägermeister Mobile Stage, a 207,000-watt, fully self-contained stage housed in a 44-foot trailer. The stage, which features a Peavey Versarray™ line-array sound system, QW® Series monitors and Peavey VSX® loudspeaker management systems, as well as a full Peavey guitar and bass amplifier backline, will hit the road on the Rockstar® Mayhem tour in summer 2008. |
