The stars keep lining up for Bass Player LIVE! 2016, with just four days to go until the premier bass event returns to Los Angeles at SIR Studios, at 6465 Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood on October 22 and Sunday, October 23, for two days of exhibits by top gear manufacturers and clinics by world-class bassists. Plus the All-Star concert to be held on the evening of October 22, at Musicians Institute, 6752 Hollywood Blvd; featuring this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipients, George Porter Jr., Billy Sheehan, and Tim Bogert, and special guests.

Here’s the latest: Duran Duran bass legend John Taylor will do signing in the main exhibitor hall following his 2:30-3:30PM clinic interview on Saturday, Oct. 22., from 3:40-4:00PM. Bass icon and 2006 Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Recipient Stanley Clarke will present Billy Sheehan with his Lifetime Achievement Award at the BPL concert, Saturday night, Oct. 22, at Musicians Institute. Juan Alderete and Jonathan Hischke will be doing a clinic at 11:00AM Sunday, Oct. 23. Attendees entering Billy Sheehan’s clinic on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 2:30PM will be automatically entered to win an EBS Billy Sheehan Signature Deluxe Pedal, with the drawing held at the conclusion of the clinic; Stonefield Basses and Freekbass will debut a short film at the BPL concert on Saturday night; and Paz Lenchantin, Ben Kenney, Jack Casady, Steve DiGiorgio, Tanya O’Callaghan, Matt McJunkins, and Bunny Brunel join the growing appearing artist list. *A Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Meters bass legend and funk founder George Porter, Jr. Porter will accept his award from bassist/American Idol superstar Randy Jackson and then perform with his trio plus special guests at the All-Star Concert on Oct. 22, as well as host a clinic at SIR on Oct. 23

*A Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Award presented to bass virtuoso and rock and roll icon Billy Sheehan. Sheehan will accept his award and then perform with his band plus special guests at the All-Star Concert on Oct. 22, as well as host a clinic at SIR on Oct. 23
 
*A Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Award presented to seminal rock bass trailblazer Tim Bogert. Bogert will accept his award and perform in Billy Sheehan’s set

• SIR Studios day pass for Saturday OR Sunday – $37.50 plus fees
• SIR Studios Saturday & Sunday pass + concert – $57.50 plus fees

The Bass Player LIVE! clinics and exhibits at SIR Studios in Hollywood will be held Saturday, October 22 from 10:00 AM-6:00 PM and Sunday, October 23 from 10:00 AM-5:30 PM. Concert and Award Ceremony for the evening of October 22 will be hled at Musicans Institute, 6752 Hollywood Blvd. Doors open at 7:00 PM and music begins at 8:00 PM. Bass players and musicians of all ages, levels and styles are invited to attend.
