Right from the opening track of their 14th album, the veteran rockers of Megadeth sound young and hungry, and Dave Ellefson’s charging bass sets the tone for a record that is equal parts thrash metal and heavy rock. Fans of Ellefson will rejoice at the way he digs into the pocket on speed-hungry songs like “Built For War,” sounding just like the Ellefson of yore.
