Thrash metal legends Slayer are currently in the studio recording their 15th album, scheduled for release in early 2015. This will be the first time the band has recorded a complete album with producer Terry Date, who worked with the group on their "Implode" single earlier this year—and also the first without longtime guitarist Jeff Hanneman, who died in May 2013.
Said guitarist Kerry King recently, "People are gonna expect us to fail because it's the first record without Jeff; I get it. But I'm also very proud of what we've done so far towards new material. It's fast, the slow stuff's heavy. I mean, everything that people liked about Slayer for in the past is on this record."
Slayer have been posting photos of the recording process to their Instagram account, @Slayerbandofficial—check them out below.
