Watch The Making of A Warwick Nobby Meidel Bass in Special Midnight Blue

November 17, 2017

From Warwick: From raw wood to finished instruments: In our MAKING OF videos we show the production of Warwick Masterbuilt basses at the Custom Shop in Markneukirchen / Germany.

Headless, unique and illuminated! This week we present the production of another masterpiece from the Warwick Custom Shop in Markneukirchen/Germany: A “paddle” design Nobby Meidel Bass, upgraded by a body made of AAA Coloured Flamed Maple, with Special Midnight Blue Transparent Finish, gold hardware, custom knobs, headless neck-through-design (Wenge with Maple stripe), and blue front and side LED dots in the ebony fingerboard.

26 extra-hard jumbo bronze frets are precisely set into the Wenge fingerboard with IFT (Invisible Fretwork Technology). Active MEC J/TJ pickups are used in combination with active Warwick 2-way electronics. The integrated lithium battery can be recharged via USB cable without having to unscrew the wooden cover. Other hardware details include: Nobby Meidel Nut, Warwick Nobby Meidel Tuners, Schaller 3D Bridge and Warwick Security Locks. A handmade leather RockBag® is included.

Musically, this MAKING OF video is underlined by ‘Altered States’ by Loosejuice.
