Seven years after he went on hiatus, original Copeland bass man James Likeness returns to the fold. Although the material is mostly gentle and somber, his trebly picking picks up the energy on tracks like “I Can Make You Feel Young Again” and “Like a Lie.” Probably the biggest spark on the album comes on “Chiromancer,” where Likeness’ steady right hand powers a line that moves all over the neck, proving that he’s still got it.
