CD Review: Eagles of Death Metal "Zipper Down"

By Jon D'Auria ,

On their first album in seven years, EODM get right down to business with the opening track “Complexity,” which starts things off right with a fuzz-driven bass line and some fast pick work. The bass is primarily supplied by one half of the rocking duo, Jesse Hughes, who takes great liberty with fills and bluesy runs that counter the hard-hitting drumming of Josh Homme. Hughes’ PBR-fueled homage to hard rock bassists of the ’70s really ties the album together.
