On Fall Out Boy’s sixth album, Pete Wentz and his pop-punk outfit seem to have dropped their punk leanings to focus on the pop side of things. Though most of the album is awash in layers of synth bass, Wentz does supply electric lines on “The Kids Aren’t Alright” and “Favorite Record.” Even then, though, Wentz’s pick lines on the band’s most heavily produced album yet are themselves highly processed.
