On his first-ever live album, Gary Clark Jr. delivers a powerfully soulful performance strengthened by the big-bottomed playing of Johnny Bradley. Kicking off the concert with the Delta blues staple “Catfish Blues,” Bradley gets deep into the pocket, where he stays for the remainder of the album through upbeat numbers like “Don’t Owe You a Thing” and the R&B-flavored “Things Are Changing.” Bradley’s vintage-blues tone and buttery feel are the real deal.
