For most bands, calling a five-song album an LP would be a stretch, but this Norwegian nine-piece experimental jazz/rock outfit takes listeners on quite a musical journey over the course of its seventh disc. With tunes surpassing the 12- and 14-minute mark, Evan Ornestad has room to stretch out and alternate between tight grooves and effect-soaked passages. Somehow, even with eight other musicians, Ornestad’s bass is a powerfully dominant force.
