As RX Bandits have evolved from ska to progressive- alternative over the last 13 years, Joseph Troy has been their musical rock and a catalyst, leading both rhythmically and creatively. On the band’s seventh album, Troy’s fast picking and melodicism extends much further than a foundational role, and on songs like “Fire to the Ocean,” “G2G,” and “Will Be Tomorrow,” his use of contrasting notes gives added color to the Bandits’ already diverse palette.
