You might think that after 11 albums, Tom Araya and the men of Slayer might finally take a breather and settle for some slower tempos or easier riff work, but on Repentless, they’re still just as relentless as ever. Thanks to metal production ace Terry Date, Araya’s bass tone dominates the bottom end while guitarist Kerry King goes hunting. And Araya’s thrash-metal pick work, just as speedy as it has always been, never skips a beat.
