Ex-Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman has been diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer. He is currently receiving treatment and is expected to make a full recovery. The 79-year-old musician announced the news with a tweet from his official account that stated, "Bill has been diagnosed with cancer. He is undergoing treatment and is expected to make a full recovery as it was caught at an early stages."
Wyman was a member of the Rolling Stones from 1962-1993, at which point he split off to pursue other projects. His current group, Bill Wyman and the Rhythm Kings, tours regularly and are expected to return to the stage once Wyman has recovered from his treatment.
