Low Notes for Nashville is a community of bassists helping their brothers and sisters devastated by Nashville’s recent flood. Players have lost their gear, their homes, even many of the venues in which they earned their income.

For musicians, nothing is more traumatic than the loss of the tools of their trade. We form a relationship with our instruments, forged by years of learning, loving, and performing together. Emotions are shared between a musician and their instrument that can never be replaced or reproduced. We feel for their loss, and hope to lessen the sting by providing loaner gear, and assisting with gear replacement.

In addition, losing one’s home, and all their worldy possessions can crush even the strongest spirit, especially if there is no one to turn to. We know how that feels, too, and are doing all we can to make sure everyone has a place to sleep.

Thankfully, bass players are all brothers and sisters, no matter the style of music. We all stand together; we support each other. And that’s what Low Notes for Nashville is all about: standing together in the worst of times. And, believe us when we tell you, this is the worst of times for many in Nashville.

Can you help us help our brothers and sisters in need? Can you buy some music, knowing all the profits will go to those in need, and nowhere else? Can you make a PayPal donation, no matter the size? Can you help spread the word far and wide?

No matter what you do, no matter why you’re here: Thank you for supporting our efforts. Thank you for standing with us when we need you the most.
