Mike Claiborne Releases Sophomore Album '15/16'

The bassist’s sophomore CD as an artist showcases a different sub-genre of jazz with each of the five songs on the disc.

Bassist Mike Claiborne’s latest EP titled 15/16 features five digital singles from 2015 and 2016 remixed and remastered for CD release.

The newly released EP titled 15/16 provides a twenty-minute journey through some of the various sub-genres of jazz. The set of five songs take us on a jazz excursion through fusion, bossa nova, soul-jazz, bebop, and piano trio with all instrumentation provided by Mike himself.

The bassist’s sophomore CD as an artist showcases a different sub-genre of jazz with each of the five songs on the disc. Each song is represented by a photo on the cover which served as the original singles’ respective artwork.

Mike performed or programmed all the instrumentation on 15/16 which includes four, five, and six-string bass, fretless bass, guitar and keyboards.

The CD is available through MikeClaiborne.com. 15/16 is distributed through CD Baby with downloads and streaming available through all the major platforms.
