Watch Ben Kenney's Blazing Bass Work on Incubus' New Single "Absolution Calling"

Incubus Prepares to Release Their New EP Trust Fall And Perform their Single "Absolution Calling" On Jimmy Kimmel Live
By Jon D'Auria ,

Incubus is kicking off 2015 by releasing two EPs through their new label Island Records. The first of which, titled Trust Fall, will be available on March 24h and the second will be released at some point around the summer of 2015. The EPs mark the first new music from Incubus since 2011's If Not Now, When?

If you're a fan of the band, then you probably know that bassist Ben Kenney is no joke when it comes to bringing the low end. His melodically driven and impeccably executed lines carry much of Incubus' music and on their latest single "Absolution Calling" Kenney steals the show.

Here's a clip of the band performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live where Kenney sports a brand new Lakland Skyline Hollowbody 30 with a 30" scale and a gorgeous maple top.

Kenney chatted with BP after the show and explained, "It came in the night before the performance, so I didn't have a lot of time to play around with it beforehand. But it's a seriously rad bass. They really nailed it with that one."

Here is an up close look at the HB-30 he's using:
