Bloodstock Festival 2016 welcomes CYNOSURE GUITARS to exhibit in the Rock and Metal Gallery for the third time around. With the passing of a Rock and Metal icon, Lemmy, from the prominent revolutionary band, Motorhead, Cynosure Guitars were commissioned by Bloodstock’s Founder and Director, Paul Raymond Gregory, to create 2 very unique bespoke Bass Guitars, that highlighted the character of the legend. “Though stylistically very different from one another, both bass guitars represent the iconography and mise-en-scene of perhaps one of the most prodigious and pioneering rock/metal acts in musical history”, says luthier and artist, Cynosure. Built as commemorative artworks to honour Lemmy, the guitars function as both, instruments and visual spectacles, a fusion of many artistic disciplines. With the band, Motorhead, making an appearance at the festival, they are to be met with an outstanding lifelike representation of Lemmy, featured in the new ‘Lemmy Bar’ artwork masterfully painted by Bloodstock mastermind, Paul Raymond Gregory.

Cynosure proclaims, “The permanent fixture, Rock and Metal (RAM) Gallery, will feature the works of some of the most acclaimed artists that delineate the boundaries of, and weld the connection between artistic classification in the Rock and Metal genres”. 2015 RAM Gallery artist, Ramon Martos, returns with his album-artwork book, entitled ‘And Justice for Art’ amongst some newcomers to the Gallery, each showcasing their talents and passion for music-related Art.

Bloodstock Open-Air Festival (BOA) was inaugurated in 2001, by renowned fantasy artist, Paul Raymond Gregory and run by the Gregory Family, respectively. BOA is set to host another scintillating music-spectacle, gathering metal enthusiasts from all over the world in the grounds of Catton Park, Derbyshire from August 11-14, 2016.

Rock and Metal icons, such as Mastodon, Twisted Sister, Slayer, Anthrax, Venom, to name a few, will bring their talent to three stages over the event's 4 day duration. With the RAM Gallery, Paul Raymond Gregory illustrates his belief in supporting visual and aesthetic artists as much as musicians (which Bloodstock does with its 'New Blood' stage).

MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST
CYNOSURE GUITARS built the Official Bloodstock Guitar for the 2014 festival, which symbolized and pronounced the concept and atmosphere in a specifically-designed inverted cross guitar. In 2015, Cynosure created the Rock and Metal (RAM) guitar (a human skull/ram-horn hybrid creation) that comprehended the ‘personality’ of the Gallery.
