Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey veteran Reed Mathis brings a bounty of booty to this debut by the jamband supergroup featuring guitarist Papa Mali, drummer Bill Kreutzmann, and lyricist Robert Hunter. Word on the street is that NOLA funk legend George Porter Jr., who guests on one track, is slated to tour with the band. Live or on record, 7 Walkers delivers some of the tastiest NOLA-flavored funk around, and boast two of the baddest bassists in the biz, and is definitely worth the price of admission. Dig in, y’all.
