April 1st, 2015 – Inspired by ESPN The Magazine's famous Body Issue that features famous athletes fully nude, Bass Player Magazine is proud to reveal the first ever Bass Player Body Issue

"Having prominent bass players strip down to nothing to show the beauty of their natural form is something that we've always toyed with," says BP editor Chris Jisi. "But once we found out how excited the bass players were at the prospect, we just knew we had to go for it."

The 21-page spread features a wide diversity of bass players including everyone from Flea (cover), Mark Hoppus, Tim Commerford, Nicole Fiorentino, Marcus Miller, Paz Lenchantin, Victor Wooten, Kim Deal and Fat Mike (to name a few).

"Honestly, I had no idea it was a nude issue," says Flea about the historic shoot. "I just showed up naked and everyone acted like it was no big deal. It wasn't until I saw the magazine that I realized what had been going on."

The issue will hit newsstands mid-April.
