CD Review: A Perfect Circle "A Perfect Circle Live: Featuring Stone and Echo"

For all the accolades that lead singer Maynard James Keenan’s other band has received (and we hear Tool is currently hard at work on new material), it’s easy to forget that APC is a juggernaut all on its own. Matt McJunkins joined the fold in 2010, and avails himself on this four-disc live box set like he’s been there from jump. Standouts include the soul-stirring classic “Orestes” and the low-tuned menace of “The Outsider”—as beautifully twisted as any Tool mind-bender.
