BadBadNotGood, Toronto’s young and mega-talented hip-hop-meets-jazz trio, have made a career of interpreting famous rap songs as funky jazz numbers. So it comes as no surprise that Chester Hansen and company have paired up with Ghostface Killah for their latest album, Sour Soul. Hansen’s lines are both entrancing and head-bobbing on all 12 tracks, but he shows his true talent for groove on “Gunshowers” and the James Jamerson-inspired “Ray Gun.”
