Owl, a Los Angeles and New York City-based rock band, premiered its music video today for the latest single off its Things You Can’t See album, titled “Lake Ego.” The video launch coincides with Owl’s west coast tour.
Things You Can’t See, which was recorded at Overit Studios in upstate New York, is Owl’s boldest and most experimental album. The rock trio focused on writing music that showed off the band’s character and attitude. “Lake Ego,” in particular, features raw thunderous rhythms, bowed bass and poetic lyricism.
Throughout the music video for “Lake Ego,” dark and ominous scenes are used to reflect the lyrics and tone of the song. The video’s directors, Jon & Tracey Cring for Overit used strong visuals and an unnerving story line to truly capture the viewers’ attention.
Owl, which includes Chris Wyse (vocals/bass), Eric Bradley (guitar) and Dan Dinsmore (drums), will set out on a six date tour that will kick-off the day before Memorial Day opening for Swedish guitar god Yngwie Malmsteen in San Diego! Both Yngwie and Wyse are a "Spotlight" discovery in Mike Varney's infamous Guitar Magazine column.
