Double Bass Symposium at the University of Georgia

The twenty-third annual edition of the University of Georgia International Double Bass Symposium, directed by Dr. Milton Masciadri and cosponsored by GaASTA (American String Teachers Association), will present a weekend of lessons, master classes and concerts featuring three world renown bassists.

This year, during the second weekend in February 2013, there will be a congregation of masters: Alberto Bocini (Haute Ecole de Musique de Geneve/HEM), Anthony Stoops (University of Oklahoma and Co-principal bass of Oklahoma City Philharmonic) and Greg Hamilton (Concordia College) will join forces with players, teachers, students, luthiers, novice to professional for this remarkable occasion where the European School meets the American School.
