Doug Wimbish exploded onto the scene with his funky rock outfit Living Colour in 1984 and has been a pivotal figure in the bass world ever since. His use of a wide variety of effects and playing techniques makes him a monster of the bass who has had a massive impact on players everywhere.

Doug Wimbish and Will Calhoun to Play WesFest 13 at SIR Hollywood

For 13 years, WesFest has raised over $200,000 for continuing bass players through the Wes Wehmiller Scholarship at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Each year's recipient is flown to Los Angeles to have the opportunity to meet Wes's parents and friends, and to experience playing onstage with world-renowned artists. It's the only scholarship of its kind at Berklee!
