I wrote this book not because I believe this is the definitive way to play chords on the bass or understand harmony; it’s more than likely not. I wrote this book because it outlines precisely how I’ve worked on this area of my playing for over 20 years, and it has served me incredibly well. If you dig deep into these exercises, they will act as a catalyst for your process when it comes to learning chordal harmony.
So make these ideas your own. Steal them, copy them, adapt them, hate them, love them, turn them upside down, and leave them behind as fast as you picked them up, so you’re always in search of something original. These ideas are only the beginning, and certainly not the end.
This book includes HD video, TAB and treble clef.
