In addition, the companion music video can be seen now at the LA-based band’s official YouTube channel.

Michael “Fitz” Fitzpatrick said of the new single “Fool”: “My mama always said wear fresh underwear for the summer. Here’s our fresh summer jam just for you!”

“Fool” – which follows Fitz and the Tantrums’ RIAA platinum certified smash hit, “HandClap” – will be included on the upcoming Deluxe Edition of last year’s acclaimed album, “FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS,” due at all digital music retailers and streaming services on Friday, July 28th. “FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS: DELUXE EDITION” will also feature a number of bonus tracks including pair of previously unreleased live recordings as well as an exclusive remix of “Fool.”

Fitz and the Tantrums will celebrate the release of “FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS: DELUXE EDITION” with a live performance in New York City’s Rockefeller Center, set for Friday, July 28th as part of NBC’s TODAY “Citi Concert Series” (check local listings). Known far and wide as an energizing and irresistible live act, Fitz and the Tantrums is spending the summer on the road, including headline dates, festival appearances, and a featured role as special guests on the 2017 Honda Civic Tour. The trek – which includes headliner OneRepublic and opening act James Arthur – gets underway July 7th at Kansas City, MO’s Sprint Center and then travels into mid-September.

Fitz and the Tantrums celebrated “HandClap,” which received top 5 chart success at multi-format radio outlets nationwide, with a variety of high profile live performances, including appearances on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, Good Morning America, and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, NBC’s America’s Got Talent and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, CBS’ Late Late Show With James Corden, and the nationally syndicated The Ellen DeGeneres Show, among others. In addition, the song’s official video had drawn nearly 26 million individual views at YouTube alone.

“FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS” follows the band’s hugely successful major label debut, 2013’s “MORE THAN JUST A DREAM,” highlighted by two back-to-back multi-format hits in “The Walker” and “Out Of My League,” both of which reached #1 at Alternative Radio nationwide and have been certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Fitz and the Tantrums made their world-shaking debut with 2010’s “PICKIN’ UP THE PIECES,” which reached #1 on Billboard’s “Heatseekers” chart following its release on Dangerbird Records, ultimately residing on the chart for a remarkable 73 weeks. Widely considered among the best live outfits of the era, the band has spent much of their existence on the road, performing countless headline shows and show stealing sets at myriad festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, ACL Music Festival, and many more.

Fitz and the Tantrums are: Michael “Fitz” Fitzpatrick (vocals), Noelle Scaggs (vocals), James King (saxophone, flute), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards), Joseph Karnes (bass), and John Wicks (drums, percussion).
