Rocco Prestia Joins ESP Artist Roster

Publish date:

Rocco Prestia, one of the world’s most respected and influential bass players, is now part of the ESP Guitars (NAMM Demo Room 213D) artist roster.

“We are so proud to have a bassist of Rocco’s immense stature as part of the ESP family,” said Jeff Moore, ESP’s Senior Vice President. “He’s regarded as one of the people who helped define the playing technique for electric bass as we know it today. His choice of ESP is a huge testimonial toward the high quality and playability of our bass instruments.”

“I’m very happy and excited to be working with ESP, and becoming a part of the ESP family,” said Prestia. “I am looking forward to designing a bass we can all be proud of.”

As the bassist for Tower of Power, Rocco Prestia is a world-renowned player whose technique as a master of fingerstyle funk has influenced thousands of musicians. His percussive sound and melodic bass lines are unique and immediately identifiable. Along with players like James Jamerson, Bootsy Collins, and Jaco Pastorius, Rocco is held in high regard as one of the founders of modern bass playing.

At the 2013 NAMM Show, Rocco will be performing on the opening day of the show (Thursday January 24) with Tower of Power at a NAMM-sponsored event, using one of ESP’s newly-announced LTD Elite basses. Also, he will be appearing for a signing at the ESP booth on Friday January 25 at 1:30PM.
