How did you come to play bass? I started playing piano as a young child, and trombone in elementary school. A friend in high school played guitar and owned a bass, so we put together a garage band. Later on, with a bunch of solid gigging experience under my belt, I decided to move to Boston and attend Berklee, where I received my bachelor’s in Composition, and studied bass with William Curtis and John Neves.
What’s a lesson you’ve learned along the way? Ninety percent of life is just showing up. Don’t sweat the petty stuff, and don’t pet the sweaty stuff.
What are your musical goals? To practice more, record more, and write more.
