Heroes and inspirations Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten, and Rick Laird are a few bassists who inspire me. Billy Cobham and Carl Palmer are also incredible drummers who have inspired me to be a better bassist.
How did you come to play bass?
I have loved music as far back as I can remember, but I had some friends in middle school who were looking for a bassist. I convinced my mother to buy me a bass, taught myself, and learned how to play by ear.
What’s a lesson you’ve learned along the way?
Be proactive, disciplined, and focused, but make sure you take care of yourself and have fun with what you’re doing!
What are your musical goals?
I aim to strengthen my portfolio by recording several albums over the next few years. I stopped playing bass for five years and got back into it. I am driven for success! My main dream is to tour internationally within the next five years. I want to travel and make a living doing what I love the most.
