Warwick 30th Anniversary

Warwick will be celebrating its 30th anniversary on September 13th, 2012 with clinics and workshops for bass players. We want to invite all bassists and all other musically interested parties to come to Markneukirchen the 2nd week of September 2012 for an extensive factory visit and lots of bass workshops. During that week, some of Warwick’s most famous artists will be answering all your questions and showing you their best tips and tricks.

The history of Warwick began in the German Pretzfeld/Upper Franconia region. Here, on September 13th 1982, 24-year-old Hans-Peter Wilfer and two guitar builders founded Warwick. Hans-Peter learned his handicraft from his father, Fred Andreas Wilfer, who in the 50s, 60s and 70s attained worldwide recognition with his Framus instruments. The business grew steadily. In 1995, production was moved to Markneukirchen in Saxony, the world-famous music instrument building region of Germany. Building the new production facility meant that H.P. Wilfer could finally realize his dream: the synthesis of handcrafted instrument manufacture and state-of-the-art technology. This worldwide unique combination of craftsmanship and innovation has allowed Warwick and its instruments to get closer to its goal of implementing perfect instrument manufacture.

Starting with just one bass model in its first year of existence, Warwick now has various product lines, a large number of different bass guitars and a large offering of bass amplifiers and cabinets as well as numerous accessories.

On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, Warwick will be presenting an almost exact reissue of the original Streamer Stage I Bass from the year 1983 as a limited edition. The new Streamer LTD 2012 Warwick 30th Anniversary Bass, which features a body made of cherry wood that has been aged 25 years, shows the lengths Warwick will go through to create a stellar bass instrument. This unique model will be limited to only 75 units worldwide. For more information please visit www.warwick.de.

We are so excited to tell our customers about this historic week in Markneukirchen and as a special treat, for that week, there will be close to 200 Warwick basses for visitors to check out.
