Starting in the Spring, I start framing a holiday song, taking advantage of the visiting artist residences, finding a minute here and a minute there to start the process. I always keep my ears open for something unique to add and last year I just happened to walk by a room and heard some of the most in the pocket rapping that I have ever heard, coming from a second year student. I knew right then that Aaron Hanson and I would collaborate on something.
All the music is recorded and mixed in my office. This year we shot some video in there as well and filled out the production with images coming from our students over the course of this year.
John Patitucci, Terri Lyne Carrington, Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, and introducing Aaron Hanson. A rousing version of Deck the Hanukkah, a Holiday MashUP. Also, images from this year give you a hint as to all the things going on at Berklee Bass!
