Novation’s popular 20-year-old Bass Station gets an update with the Bass Station II, an all-analog redesign equipped with two filters, two oscillators, a sub-obscillator, patch-save capability, onboard modulation, an arpeggiator, and analog effects. It handles MIDI and USB.

The 465-watt Strategy:88, which boasts three preamp tubes and eight power tubes, can be reigned it at 250 or 125 watts. Both amps share a handful of features, including pre/post DI and ground switches on the front of the head, two tuner outputs, “normal” and “vintage” inputs, fixed bias, active/passive semi-parametric EQs, and fan cooling.

Affinity Precision Bass PJ
Squier’s Affinity series gets a boost with the Precision Bass PJ model, which marries an alder-body Precision body, a 34"-scale “C” shape P neck with 20 jumbo frets, and separate Precision and Jazz pickups, each with its own volume control. The Squier PJ, which also features a two-color headstock logo, a three-ply black/white/black pickguard, and a master tone control, is available in Olympic White, black, and metallic red.

Former Dean Guitars chief Dean Zelinsky steps out with a line of neck-through Hailfire ST and FM basses, which boast mahogany bodies, 34"-scale necks with block inlays, EMG TB pickups, EMG BTC preamps, Babicz bridges, and classic body shapes. The Hailfire FM is available in transparent red and black, and the ST is available in black satin and blueburst.
