How did you come to play bass?
I started playing when I was 14. After hearing Red Hot Chili Peppers, Level 42, Parliament-Funkadelic, and many others, I was hooked. Once I picked up the bass, I never looked back!
What’s a lesson you’ve learned along the way?
Be true to yourself. Technique is great, but it’s not everything. Play for the song and the groove. Sometimes less is more. Be tight with your drummer as a friend and with the music.
What are your musical goals?
To continue recording/gigging with friends. Start recording my own music. I’d also like to start touring with artists, if possible. Most importantly have fun while making music.
