How did you come to play bass?

My best mate back in year 9 (I was 14) starting learning drums and tried to convince me to learn guitar so we could start a band. I refused, but eventually we arrived at a compromise, and I picked up my first bass off eBay. I’ve been obsessed ever since!

What’s a lesson you’ve learned along the way?

Don’t put money before your art. Play with the right musicians. Practice, practice, practice!

What are your musical goals?

Mainly, to be fulfilled with my playing. If you watch 30 Seconds To Mars’ “Closer to the Edge” music video, that is where I want to be (minus the pink mohawk). Meeting Mr. Wooten would be nice, too.
